Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Silent Disco Budapest (operated by Csendes Társka). By renting our silent disco equipment, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Rental Agreement

1.1 Booking & Confirmation

All bookings must be confirmed via email or WhatsApp. A booking is only valid once you receive written confirmation from us.

1.2 Rental Period

The standard rental period is 24 hours from the agreed pickup time. Late returns without prior arrangement will incur additional fees (see section 4).

1.3 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and provide valid ID at the time of equipment pickup. The person booking must be present at pickup and return.

2. Security Deposit

2.1 What the Deposit Covers

• Lost or stolen equipment
• Damaged equipment beyond normal wear and tear
• Late return fees (if applicable)
• Cleaning fees (if equipment is returned excessively dirty)

2.2 Equipment Replacement Costs

• 1 Headphone: 25,000 HUF
• 1 Transmitter: 150,000 HUF
• Cables/Accessories: 5,000 HUF per item

3. Equipment Use & Care

3.1 Your Responsibilities

• Use the equipment only as intended (indoor/outdoor parties, events)
• Keep equipment dry and away from water
• Do not attempt to repair or modify equipment
• Return equipment in the same condition as received
• Keep equipment secure—you are liable for loss or theft

3.2 What We Cover

Normal wear and tear is expected and covered. We will not charge for minor scuffs, battery degradation, or typical usage wear.

3.3 What You're Liable For

• Physical damage (cracked screens, broken hinges, water damage)
• Lost or stolen equipment
• Missing accessories (cables, charging units)

4. Fees & Payments

4.1 Rental Fees

• Starter Package: 19,990 HUF / 24 hours (8 headphones, 1 transmitter)
• House Party Package: 29,990 HUF / 24 hours (12 headphones, 2 transmitters)
• VIP Package: 38,990 HUF / 24 hours (15 headphones, 2 transmitters)

4.2 Additional Fees

• Rental Extension: 15,000 HUF per additional 12 hours (must be requested via WhatsApp during rental period)
• Late Return Fee: 20,000 HUF per day (or partial day) without prior extension request
• Excessive Cleaning Fee: Up to 10,000 HUF (only if equipment is returned excessively dirty or requiring deep cleaning)

4.3 Payment Methods

We accept cash and card payments. Rental fees are paid at pickup. The security deposit is a card pre-authorization only.

5. Delivery & Pickup

5.1 Free Delivery (Budapest Only)

We provide free delivery and pickup anywhere in Budapest (Districts I-XXIII). Delivery time windows are coordinated at booking.

5.2 Availability

You must be available at the agreed delivery/pickup time. If you are not available and we cannot complete delivery/pickup, a rescheduling fee of 5,000 HUF may apply.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

6.1 Cancellation Policy

• More than 24 hours before rental: Full refund, no fees
• Less than 24 hours before rental: 50% of rental fee charged
• No-show: Full rental fee charged

6.2 Date Changes

You can change your rental date free of charge, subject to availability. Contact us as soon as possible to reschedule.

7. Liability & Indemnification

7.1 Our Liability

We ensure all equipment is in working condition before delivery. If equipment malfunctions due to a defect (not misuse), we will replace it free of charge.

7.2 Your Liability

You are responsible for the equipment from the moment of pickup until the moment of return. Any damage, loss, or theft during this period is your responsibility.

7.3 Event Liability

Silent Disco Budapest is not liable for any injuries, damages, or incidents that occur at your event. You are responsible for the safety of your guests and the appropriate use of the equipment.

8. Privacy & Data

We collect personal information (name, phone, email, address) solely for rental purposes. We do not share your data with third parties. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

9. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to deliver or fulfill services due to circumstances beyond our control (natural disasters, strikes, government restrictions, etc.). In such cases, we will offer a full refund or reschedule at no extra cost.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Hungarian law. Any disputes will be resolved in Budapest courts.
